Before you write

Is this an official weather warning service?
No. MeteoKite shows model forecasts and model alerts that it computes automatically. For official warnings, follow your national weather service — for example the Deutscher Wetterdienst in Germany or the India Meteorological Department. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (112 in the EU and India).
Why does the forecast differ from another app?
Apps use different weather models and resolutions. The maps let you switch between models (GFS, ICON, ECMWF) to see how much they agree; the data sources page lists what we use.
How quickly do you reply?
We usually answer within a few working days; privacy requests within one month at the latest.

MeteoKite — Weather for a better tomorrow

Forecast data: NOAA GFS (public domain), processed by MeteoKite. Radar: Datenbasis Deutscher Wetterdienst, processed by MeteoKite. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors. Place names: GeoNames, licensed CC BY 4.0.

Forecasts are model output for the nearest 0.25° grid point, not observations. Official warnings, where shown, come from the Deutscher Wetterdienst (Germany), unchanged. Model alerts are computed automatically by MeteoKite from the GFS forecast; they are not official warnings — follow your national weather service.
